Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By using NeoCut, the app or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use NeoCut.
2. Who we are
NeoCut is operated by NEOCUT TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India, with its registered office at C-804, Shri Balaji Residency, Ahinsa Khand-2, Shipra Sun City, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh 201014, India.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use NeoCut, and the age of digital consent in your country if higher.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the videos you upload. By uploading, you grant NeoCut a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, transcribe, edit, store, and deliver your video back to you. You confirm that you have the rights to any content you upload.
5. What you may not do
- Upload content that infringes copyright, contains illegal material, or violates anyone’s privacy.
- Upload footage of another identifiable person without their permission, where that permission is needed.
- Impersonate a real person or organisation, or create content designed to make someone appear to say or do something they did not.
- Create sexual content involving anyone who has not consented, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against anyone.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or our APIs.
- Resell access to the service without written permission.
- Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
6. Editing people in your footage
Some NeoCut features separate you from your background so footage can pass behind you. They are for editing your own footage, or footage you have permission to use. They are not for altering how a person appears or what they seem to do in a deceptive way.
7. Reporting content
If content made with NeoCut infringes your copyright or shows you without your consent, email support@neocut.app with your contact details, what the content is, and where it appears or the account you believe is responsible. We investigate every report, and may remove stored content, suspend, or terminate accounts. Repeat infringers are terminated. If we action your account you can reply to us and we will reconsider. You can also report offensive or harmful AI-generated output from within the app, using the Report button, or by email to support@neocut.app.
8. AI-generated output
NeoCut uses automated systems to transcribe speech, place B-roll, pick music, and generate captions and suggestions. These are probabilistic and will sometimes be wrong: captions can mis-transcribe and suggestions may not match your intent. Review what NeoCut produces before you publish it. We do not warrant that generated text, timing, or footage selection is accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
9. Plans and purchases
Paid plans include a monthly allowance of processing minutes and a maximum length per video. Processing is charged by the actual duration of your video, rounded up to the nearest second. Allowances reset each billing period and unused minutes do not roll over. If a job fails on our side, the minutes it used are returned automatically. Subscriptions are billed through the store you purchased on (Google Play or Apple App Store), in the currency and at the price that store shows you, and refunds follow that store’s policies.
Auto-renewal, cancelling and refunds
Subscriptions renew automatically every month, at the price your store shows, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Google Play account (Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions) or, on iPhone, in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your NeoCut account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their own policies; ask them first, and contact us at support@neocut.app if you need help.
10. AI Credits
Pro and Studio include a monthly allowance of AI Credits that resets each billing period and does not roll over. Credit packs are one-time purchases, and bought credits never expire. Plan credits are used before bought credits. AI Credits can be used while you are on a plan that includes templates (Pro or Studio); bought credits stay in your account if you change plan and become usable again when you are back on Pro or Studio. If a job fails on our side, or a motion template is not delivered within 24 hours, its credits are returned automatically. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are lost if you delete your account. Refunds for purchases follow the App Store or Google Play refund policy.
11. The free template edit on this website
This website does not offer editing at the moment. When it does, each person can make one free template edit: one video of up to 60 seconds, in 720p, with a visible “Made with NeoCut” watermark. It is limited to one per person, checked against your email address, and cannot be claimed again by deleting your account or by using variants of the same address. We may refuse or withdraw the free edit where we see abuse. It uses no AI Credits.
12. Stock content
Stock videos and photos come from Pexels under the Pexels License. You may not resell or redistribute them on their own as stock, and you must not use them to suggest that the people or brands shown endorse you or your content.
13. Music and animated emoji
Music is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). If you publish a video that contains a NeoCut music track, you must credit it, for example in the description: “<Title>” by <Artist> (<link>), licensed under CC BY 4.0. The credit for each track is shown in the editor’s music panel and on the export screen. Animated emoji used in motion templates are Noto Emoji Animation by Google, licensed under CC BY 4.0, and need the same kind of credit.
14. Availability
The service is provided as-is. We aim for reliability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted processing, fixed turnaround times, or that every feature will work for every video.
15. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeoCut is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from your use of the service, or for loss of content you have not kept a copy of. We delete finished exports on the schedule in our Privacy Policy, so NeoCut is not a backup service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.
16. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app from Settings > Delete account, or by email; see Delete your account. Deleting is permanent and removes your account, projects, transcripts, and stored videos. It does not cancel a store subscription: cancel that in your App Store or Play Store account, or billing continues. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and where we do we will tell you why unless prevented by law.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer, this does not remove rights your own country’s law gives you, including any right to bring a claim locally. Please contact us first: most issues are billing or processing problems we can fix directly, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
18. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be highlighted in the app the next time you open the editor, and the date above will change.
